---------------------I've succumbed! But that's okay because I don't really care if anyone judges me for my love of ponies. I've been an avid collector of these ADORABLE toys since I was the wee age of 2 years old... and to this day, even now at 26 years old... I still love them with every fiber of my being. My Little Ponies have brought a spark of magic and inspiration into my life, ever since I was a little girl... and with the new series out I have just been... fangirly squealing all over the place.
So I've made it a personal mission to go through ALL of my ponies that I can find and draw them in the style of FiM.
First out of my collection I have chosen to a G3 pony, Desert Rose.Description of the toy:
Desert Rose is a beautiful white pony with iridescent glitter going down the front of her nose. She has pale pink, green and yellow eyes with a tiny pale pink heart in them. The cutie mark on her left hip is a single shimmery pink rose with a light green stem. She has light pink hair with strands of iridescent glitter in itDescription of the image:
For Desert Rose, I did my best to stick to the original design of the toy. She is an earth pony -- so no random Pegasus wings or Unicorn horns (although, the thought of her being one of those two types of ponies makes me squee -- especially if she were a Pegasus. idk it makes some kinda sense to me). She remains a beautiful white pony, pale pink hair, and green eyes. To replace the glitter I added in small specks of light blue on her flank, and on her cheek instead of on her nose. Her cutie mark is still the same, a single shimmery pink rose with a light green stem. I wanted to skip some complications and decided not to add any sparkling bits to her hair, because I wanted to keep it simple.
All in all, I think she turned out really well for my first attempt at this style.
